Students will review the work of Janet Travell, M.D. and Clair Davies.  Students will understand the concept of referred pain, read trigger point charts, practice finding, isolating and treating trigger points using tri-phase ischemic compression and unidirectional stripping.

Students will review the theory and treatment protocol for the following medical conditions: Fibromyalgia, Shin Splints, Spasms & Cramps, Osteoarthritis, Tendinitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Herniated Disc, Sciatica, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Temporomandibular Joint Disorder. Students will be trained to utilize hydrotherapy in the practice of medical massage: Fomentation, Contrast Therapy using a hydrocollator and ice therapy.
